Project Description
Worked on MIT D-Lab's Chick Brooder project. This off-grid brooder box utilizes thermal batteries made from beeswax which allows chicks to remain warm during the night without the need for supervision or electricity.
Role
Travelled to Cameroon to rebuild the box out of locally sourced materials and worked with African farmers to run temperature trials that verified the reliability of the box remaining in a suitable temperature range.
